Death, but in another form

Being a nurse, seeing DEATH might not be an unusual event. Working in Hebron / Palestine : death and killing is surely NOT an unusual event especially when working in ICU's or ER's.
This time it was my Friend's son ( who is also a nurse ). The moment when we BOTH burried 'Shaaker' was very touching for both of us. Getting used to seeing dead people, and trying to work with serious injuries and gunshots in a 'professional' manner seems NOT to work in such moments.

This event has taught both of us more about DEATH. It touched both of us so strongly that we were both silent, abscent minded for few days.
Is it that we are touched only when death comes to those who mean a LOT to us ? Is it mean not to feel bad when you see other people die without feeling the same way when you feel for closer people ?

I don't know...

It always affects us more when it is someone we are connected to, in terms of energy. When those people die, we stop feeling the connection - or it changes to a different form - the thing that affects our emotions.
Thinking that death is only the beginning of a new chapter in existance, may help u heal the gap that u feel.

I am very sorry for your friend's loss Osaid .. it could be that when never sense the power of death , unless if it took someone who is close and dear .. only then , we seem to recognize the vast loss that we suffer .. you are right , we see death every day .. but it takes a HIT a strong one rather to mourn ..

May Allah bliss you and keep harm away from you and your dear ones ..

Hi, I am new to blogging, and, for that matter, new to understanding the Palestinian conflict. I am, as many Americans, given too little "real" info. I have thought, wrongly!, that it was the Palestinians causing trouble again! In their quest for world domination of their Muslim beliefs, for which I know little about, but for this new aggression, would never know, but am going to make a concerted effort to learn! My sister is a Rev. that went to divinity school at Vanderbuilt Univ., and she enlightened me on the history surrounding this aggregious display of inhumanity the Israelis are inflicting on the Palestinians! I would like you to know that I, my sister and others in America are behind you! and I will be doing anything in my power to inform others, and help monetarily, and spiritually. My thoughts, and prayers are with you.I am so hopeful! Kimberley
